1)      OneSearch – How to Search Library Resources

  The OneSearch is the search platform that enables most of the library’s electronic and print resources to be discovered by using a single search. It streamlines the research process and users no longer need to search for books on the library catalogue and articles in individual databases. OneSearch search results include books, e-books, journal articles, dissertations, audio-visual materials, etc.
   
 

The workshops will cover:

 
  • Limit search results by type of resources, location, date, language, subject, source, etc.
  • Save search notification
  • View search history
  • Export records, etc.

2)      Citing Referencesfor Assignment and Research

The workshops will cover basic features of ProQuest RefWorks – from registering the account, creating a personal database of references, organising the references, to generating bibliographies in your desired citation styles. You will be able to:

 
  • Quickly search, find and save an unlimited number of references and full-text from any online platform
  • Organize your data with folders and tags
  • Sync your data to RefWorks account and have a local copy of your full-text
