Guided Independent English Learning Programme

The objective of the Guided Independent English Learning Programme (GIELP) is to arouse students’ awareness of independent language learning and learning strategies needed for effective learning.

• As a participant, you work independently in accordance to a written agreement and under the advice/guidance of an English instructor.
• You are required to use 10 hours for self-study at your own pace in one month, each hour of which you need to complete one reflective worksheet. If able to finish 10 worksheets in one month as required, you can get an appreciated gift. Considering that there are only 30 gifts available each month, these gifts will be offered to the qualified participants on a first-come first-served basis.
• A certificate of Guided independent English Learning Programme will be issued to you when you have successfully completed 30 self-study hours and relevant worksheets in one semester.
